"Beyond the Jade Screen
: China through the non-traditional eyes of the Golden Dragon"
October 22 to November 30th, 2001
A solo exhibition and the United States debut of Chinese artist,
Yang Jin Long (the Golden Dragon), including over 50 of his paintings,
presented in various techniques and styles. Yang's non-traditional
approach combines elements from the European masters with distinctly
Chinese themes, thus revealing his originality and respect for Chinese
heritage and culture. His work reveals his vision for a better China
while also reflecting a nostalgia for the past. Exhibited in two
premier spaces in Houston, Texas: Two Allen Center in downtown Houston
and The Arts of Asia in the Galleria. Sponsored by Iklektik Designs
and Co-Sponsored by the Asia Society, Texas Center.
