Inspired by the elements in traditional Thai Buddhist art, Apichai creates unique abstract forms and symbols. In New Image of the Wheel of Life 4, he explores the classic form of the Buddha's footprint, which traditionally reveals 108 characteristics of a Buddha. Altering and simplifying this familiar image, by removing the toes and heel, Apichai wants to stimulate questions and religious contemplation.
