Preecha experiments with the traditional Thai symbols such as the "kanok", a flame-like motif, and the circle, symbolizing the Wheel of Dhamma: the "circle of life". These forms and the strongly contrasting black and gold are reminiscent of the lacquer decorations on the ancient bookcases which hold Buddhist scriptures.
